Betty was born on a farm near Hinsdale, MT in December of 1925. Growing up on the farm, she was the eldest daughter of Nicholas and Olga Court, who immigrated from Austria and Germany. After high school, Betty attended secretarial school at Carroll College in Helena, MT. After secretarial school, Betty moved to Great Falls, and worked at Malmstrom Air Force Base. It was there she met John F. Sullivan, “Jack”, who was stationed at the East Base. Betty and Jack were married in June of 1947 in Glasgow, MT. Upon Jack’s discharge from the service, they returned to Jack’s home town of Kansas City, and Jack returned to his previous employer, John Deere. Betty and Jack raised three children, Michael (Theresa), John (Greta Bercher, decd.) and Theresa (Martin Moynahan). They retired together in Roeland Park, KS.
Betty was dedicated to her church, serving for many years in the Altar and Rosary Society. She also had a love for the outdoors and created beautiful gardens. With Jack, she loved to dance. With us all, she loved to cook and entertain.
Betty was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; and her brother, William. She is survived by her children; grandchildren, Matthew (Allison) and Timothy; two great grandchildren, Sean and Maggie; sister-in-law, Donna Court and various nieces and nephews.
We will all love and miss her forever and know she is with us always.
