

Bill D. Aronson, 80, of Overland Park, KS passed away November 7, 2014. Visitation will be 4-6:30pm, followed by a memorial service at 6:30pm, Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at McGilley & Hoge Chapel. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Blair, NE.
Bill was born April 26, 1934 in Washington County, Nebraska to Chester and Florence (McDonald) Aronson. He graduated from Tekamah High School in 1951. He entered into the United States Army in 1952. After his service with the military, he attended General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan where he completed his degree. He began his automotive career working with his father and brother Robert at Aronson Motor Co. He was then recruited by Oldsmobile where he worked as a District Service Manager until his retirement in 1987.
Bill married his wife Barbara Mencke on June 3, 1961. Together, they had two children, William and Judith “J”. Work would eventually bring Bill and his family to Overland Park, Kansas in 1967 where many lifelong friends were made.
Bill’s hobbies included traveling, golfing, fishing and camping. He also put his considerable trouble shooting and repair skills to good use helping family, friends, and neighbors. He will forever be a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, companion, mentor and friend to everyone that knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Barbara Aronson. Survivors include his children, Will Aronson (Sue); “J” Hudnall (Steve); grandchildren, Kevin (Megan) and Andy Hudnall, Jake and Aubrey Aronson; great-granddaughter, Audra Hudnall; siblings, Robert Aronson (Mabel), Lila Rapier, Joan Connealy, Donna Donelan (Mike), and loving companion, Paula Thomas.
