Elaine Helton, age 78 of Overland Park, Kansas formerly of Pensacola, Florida passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022. Cremation and per her request no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Great Plains SPCA.
Elaine was born on October 14, 1944 to Nedville and Ceola Maxine (Sandford) Nordness in St. Louis, Missouri. She grew up in Stanley, Kansas and graduated from Pittsburg State University, where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She worked the majority of her life at Davidson’s Enterprise Wholesale in Kansas City, Missouri. She moved to Pensacola, Florida in 1998 and lived there up until recently, when she moved back to the Overland Park area for health reasons. Elaine was an avid reader. She loved dogs, especially her baby, Toby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry W. Helton and her brother, Ned Alan Nordness.
Elaine is survived by her sister, Gael Nordness of Kansas City, Missouri; her nephew, Brian Wilhite of Overland Park, Kansas and her sister-in-law, Jaynice Nordness of Pensacola, Florida.
