Christian James Watson, 49, Overland Park, KS, passed away May 17, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 A.M., Tuesday, May 27 at Church of the Holy Cross, 8311 W. 93rd Street, Overland Park, preceded by visitation from 9:30-10 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Building Fund.
Chris was born June 19, 1964 in Kansas City, MO, the only child of James L. and Mary C. (Donovan) Watson. He attended grade school at Queen of the Holy Rosary school, and graduated from Bishop Miege High School in 1982. In 2002, Chris earned his Master’s Degree from Loyola in pastoral studies. He lectured in area high schools and colleges on matters of public health and self-improvement. Chris enjoyed music and was an accomplished pianist, having taught himself to play. Good food and entertaining friends and family brought joy to Chris.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Gladys and David Watson, and William and Loretta Donovan. Chris is survived by his parents, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Please offer condolences at www.mcgilleyhoge.com.
