Christine (Chris) Susanne Hoge (Klager) of Overland Park KS passed away on November 11, 2025. Celebration of Life will be held at 3 pm on Friday November 14 at Overland Park Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Overland Park Presbyterian Church - Linwood Pantry.
Chris was born January 18, 1951, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Chris loved gardening and had beautiful gardens. She also enjoyed feeding the birds and hummingbirds. She had a fondness for anything related to bees. Chris was a very active member and leader in her church and was willing to take on any task asked of her. She volunteered with shopping, donating and delivering food to the Linwood Pantry. Chris had so many friends and enjoyed lunch outings with them. She loved adventure and was able to check skydiving off her bucket list before her passing. Chris worked most of her career in human resource management but the job she enjoyed the most was when she worked at CommuniTea baking bread and manning the booth at the Farmers’ Market. Chris was beautiful, kind and loving and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Chris is preceded in death by her parents Roy B and Kathryn J (Curtis) Klager, her brother Stewart Klager and her husband George Hoge.
Survivors include brother Vance Klager (Lana), sister Mary Simmons-Klager (Peggy), sister-in-law Liz Klager, stepsons Jeff Hoge (Oni) and Jim Hoge, daughter-in-law Debbi Hoge, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
