Connie Jean Walker

Connie Jean Walker, age 58, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be 1:00 pm on Friday, August 25th at Valley View United Methodist Church, 8412 W. 95th Street, Overland Park, KS 66212, with a Memorial Service at 2:30 pm, followed by a reception at the Church. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be given to the Church or Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care.

Connie was born on December 23, 1958 in Kansas City, MO. Her career included 12 plus years of Restaurant Management with Gilbert Robinson. Her last position was at the Bristol on the Plaza. Connie’s primary focus was being a very involved and loving mother to Nicholas and Benjamin. She particularly enjoyed the Cub Scout years.

Connie was preceded in death by her sister, Kim Harrison. She is survived by her husband, Jim Walker, of the home; two sons, Nicholas Walker, Denver, CO and Benjamin Walker, Kansas City, MO; father and step-mother, Howard and Ronda Westrope, Kansas City, MO; mother, Pat Bradbury, Kansas City, MO; brothers, Kevin Westrope and his partner, Jason Holmes, Kansas City, MO, Bret Westrope, Kansas City, MO, Jeff Westrope, Kansas City, MO and Doug Westrope, Kansas City, MO; brother-in-law, Charles Harrison, Kansas City, MO; and sister-in-law, Jeanne Vickery, Omaha, NE.
