Diane Lee Bivins

Diane Lee Bivins, age 74, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on April 28, 2019 at her home in the presence of her family. Diane was born in Kansas City, Kansas on April 23, 1945 to parents, Ralph and Mary Martin, who preceded her in death. Diane attended St. Anthony and St. Pius X grade schools and graduated from Bishop Miege High School. She wed Stanley A. Bivins on May 10, 1969 and enjoyed nearly 50 years of marriage. She was employed for many years in the food brokerage industry, with her most recent position at Advantage Sales in Lenexa, Kansas.

Diane is survived by her husband, Stan Bivins; sister, Nancy Smith (Bob); and brother, Philip Martin (Cindy); and five nieces. She will be remembered for her gentle humor and common sense. She was a guardian of our family treasure and she treasured her family with even greater diligence.

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 9th at Cure’ of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, Kansas, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM. Private inurnment at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.
