Frank R. Lucido Jr.

Frank R. Lucido, Jr., 73, Overland Park, KS, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, February 16 at 1:00 pm at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 4313 SW State Route 7, Blue Springs, MO. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. A visitation to celebrate Frank’s life will be held from 7-9 pm on Tuesday, February 15 at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO, 64145.

Frank was born in Kansas City, MO, to parents Frank J. and Jennie (Badami) Lucido. He graduated from Lillis High School in the Class of 1954. He was a police officer in Kansas City in the early 1960’s, and served as a reserve officer with the Shawnee Police Department for 12 years. Frank was employed by TWA for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son: James “Cody” Lucido; and a brother: John C. Lucido. He is survived by: his partner: Lucy Belt; a son, Frank Lucido III, of CA; sisters: Mary N. Lucido of Blue Springs, MO, and Toni Yoder of Bradenton, FL; a brother: Phillip (Patricia) Lucido of Maryville, MO; and many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
