

Frank Smith, 82, of Overland Park, KS passed away September 9, 2015 at home. Visitation will be 12pm, Saturday, September 12 at McGilley & Hoge Chapel. Funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm. Burial in Bonner Springs Cemetery. Frank was born December 7, 1932 to the late Harry and Stella Smith. Frank graduated Bonner Springs High School in 1952, where he was Homecoming King his senior year. On February 7, 1953, Frank married Jacqueline Wagenknecht. He served 2 years in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Frank was a machinist for Bendix (now Honeywell) for over 45 years. He loved the Royals and KU Basketball.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Truman, Edward, Harry and Raymond, sisters Elizabeth, Helen, Ruth and Alma and infant daughter Kimberly. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline, sons Jeff and fiancé, Gayla, Jerry and wife, Amy and Jason and wife, Heidi, grandchildren Christa, Heather, Jack, Max, Addison, Logan, and Emmett, brother George and sisters Eleanor and Jessie.
