Frank Ray Tuck, age 90, of Shawnee, KS passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission Hospital. Visitation will be held Monday, December 2, 2024 from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Burial at a later date in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 83rd and Quivira, Lenexa, KS 66215. Frank was born and raised in Kansas City, MO. He earned his degree in civil engineering at the Finlay Engineering College of Kansas City and went on to a career at Black & Veatch Consulting Engineering, attaining the status of a Professional Engineer. He married Sue Tuck in 1960 and they remained married for 59 years until her death in March 2019. During their life together, they raised four children and traveled extensively in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Africa. With his career in construction management they lived in many places in the United States and in Egypt. Frank had a lifelong passion for the outdoors and exploration, particularly the deserts of the American southwest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alma and William Tuck; his wife, Sue Tuck; siblings, Robert Tuck, Virginia McQuery, and Lucille Dobrinin.
Frank is survived by his children, Linda Jackson (Ronald), Patricia Tuck, Michael Tuck (Anne), and Steven Tuck (Amy); grandchildren, Melinda Hendrix (Carson), Matthew Jackson (Christen) and Mitchell Jackson (Danielle), and Emily, Alexander and Maximilian Tuck; and great-grandchildren, Diesel, Skylar, Stella, and Harlee Jackson.
