Joseph E. Fife, 94, Overland Park, Kan., passed away November 2, 2013. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11 a.m. at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kan. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice. Joseph was an honored veteran of World War II, serving under General Patton at the Battle of the Bulge with the 11th Armored Division, 3rd Army. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Ernestine "Ernie" Fife in 2001. He is survived by his son, Ron (Shelly) Fife of West Palm Beach, Fla.; his daughter, Debbie (Ron) Skirchak of Olathe, Kan.; four grandchildren, Jason (Danielle) Skirchak, Kerri (Shawn) Skirchak, Melissa Skirchak and Casey (Matt) Britton; and six great grandchildren.
