I only met Lauren once, but those moments are some of my favorite cousin memories. My family visited Kansas when I was 9 to spend some time with our extended family. During this time, my sister Skylar and I got to meet and hang out with Lauren and our other cousins. I remember being very nervous as Skylar and I were the youngest of the bunch and were uneasy around new people. Lauren was immediately warm, kind and welcoming. She made sure to include us in everything. While some of the details from the trip are fuzzy, I remember staying up late, playing board games and laughing with she and Ally while we stayed at their house. A few days later we had a camp out in Aunt Julie and Uncle Jeff's backyard, and I remember Lauren telling Skylar and I about growing up in Kansas and her grandma in Texas. When Skylar decided she didn't want to sleep outside, Lauren made sure she was safely in the house before coming back out to join us again. As little kids who were scared of this new family adventure, she made us feel at ease with her kindness. I'll never forget that ❤️.  

To my Aunt Diane, Uncle Jeff, Ally and Jason, I hope you find comfort in the memories you shared with Lauren. I hold your family in my heart and pray for you during this difficult time. 

Lauren was the kindest person I ever knew and I'm sad for the world that we are now without her.  Sending healing thoughts to all her family and friends.

Now that the shock is wearing off, I am starting to process a lot of emotions. I had not spoken to  Lauren in almost ten years. That’s life sometimes. I missed her something crazy. The laughs we shared were the full-belly, stomach-hurting, gasping-for-breath laughs that not everyone is fortunate enough to experience. We didn’t hang out all the time, but when we did, it was like we had seen each other only the day before. I can only count about two other people I have that connection with. 

I met Lauren in 2001 and we immediately became friends because she was Brittany’s friend. When they would come to Ft. Worth to visit Aunt Melinda, they always drove up to Denton to pick me up for the weekend. Always. What kind of friends do that? She was generous with her time and her money. If she was going to enjoy something, she wanted you to enjoy it with her. We saw countless concerts, plays, and movies thanks to her generosity. The only thing she would ask for in return was for you to play with her hair. Small price to pay, I think. Lauren was proud of her sister, Allyson and could not wait for me to meet her. She loved her family and her dogs and hated grammatical errors and loved Halloween almost as much as I did. 
Last night, I found out she passed this week, and it left me breathless. I prayed for her every night for all 19 years I knew her. I hope that even though we hadn’t spoken in so long that she still knew the impact she had on my life. Fuchsia truck! Fuchsia truck! The ghost hunting. The slot machine. Leaving pennies at Aunt Melinda’s. The ghost hunting. Taco Bueno in Ft. Worth. The Star-Telegram yacht. The ghost hunting. So much ghost hunting. How lucky were we to have so many wonderful times together? I have missed my friend, and I will miss her more now. (Though I have to say, I am kind of upset that she hasn’t come to haunt me yet.)
Lauren, I pray those closest to you find peace and comfort in your lasting memory. ❤️


Lauren was my daughter here in San Angelo tx , she was a big sister to my daughter jacoby deann Williams, was such a warm hearted person u could not help but to love her♥️ Always giving herself to help others such a joyful person, she attended my church a few times St Paul Pre church everyone loved her😊she was wonderful to be around,funny joyful, loving... Lauren I will forever miss u♥️♥️ U will forever live in my heart I love u dear daughter 😘♥️
