Margaret Tierney died March 12, 2014 at Kingswood Nursing Home in Kansas City, Missouri. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, March 15th at McGilley & Hoge Johnson County Memorial Chapel at 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kansas. Margaret was born October 4th, 1923, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Tierney. She was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Good Council Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Dorothy Mosley and Loretta Metzger, and two brothers, Charles Tierney and Robert Tierney.
Her survivors include a brother, James Tierney and many nieces and nephews. Margaret graduated from Loretto Academy in 1941 and was associated with a family business, Tierney Stationery Company for most of her adult life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
