Patricia Ann "Patty" Blancarte, 69, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on August 25, 2022 at the Evergreen Community of Johnson County. Her visitation will begin at 9:30am on Wednesday, September 7th followed by her Memorial Mass at 10:30am at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 71st and Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas with burial to follow in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas. Patty was born June 3, 1953 in Kansas City, Kansas to Epifanio "Al" and Mary Blancarte. She was raised in Bonner Springs, Kansas and graduated from The Kansas School for the Deaf. She loved being with family and especially enjoyed visiting and traveling with friends. She lived for watching the KC Chiefs and K-State Wildcats. One of her fondest memories was cruising with the KSD Alumni Association to the Caribbean.
Preceding her in death were her father; brother-in-law, Bill Spini; nephew, Brian Spini and great niece, Amy Howell. She is survived by her mother; brothers, Eugene Blancarte, Frank Blancarte (Sandy), and Michael Blancarte; sisters, Dolores Spini, Theresa Bray (Gary), Linda Kissinger (Bob), Cathy Huggins (Jerry); and numerous nieces, nephews, and many close friends in the deaf community and cat, Rascal.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending donations to Kansas School for the Deaf Endowment Association, ATTN: Treasurer, 450 E. Park Street, Olathe, Kansas 66061 in Patty's Memory.
