

Patricia Jean (Steinberg) Bourk, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend died June 12, 2015, on the anniversary of the birth of her youngest child. She was born in Garner, Iowa in 1927, but made Kansas City her home when she married the love of her life Gil Bourk in 1952. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, quilting, and rooting on her Kansas City Chiefs. She was past president and member of the Ladies of Charity and was known for her beautiful quilts that made money annually for the organization. Pat truly enjoyed being a part of the "Clipped B's" an organization for retired Braniff flight attendants. She was a founding member of Cure of Ars Parish in Leawood, Kansas where she attended daily mass. Pat was an amazingly supportive wife to her husband in his civic, community, business and charitable endeavors. Pat had a passion for playing tennis, walking and collecting beautiful antiques. She was preceded in death by her husband Gil Bourk, parents Mary and Joe Steinberg, and brother Jack Steinberg. She is survived by sister Jo Neal, and her three children; Julie Bourk Suchman and husband Karl of Dallas, Texas, Gilbert P. Bourk III and wife Maria of Leawood, Kansas, and Dan Bourk and wife Kasey of Leawood, Kansas, four grandchildren, Zachary Suchman, Katie Bourk, Maggie Bourk, and Gilbert P. Bourk IV. Pat will be dearly missed by her family, but especially by her grandchildren who she cared for from the day they were born.
Visitation will be 9am-10am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10am, Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS 66209. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ladies of Charity. Online condolences may be left at www.mcgilleyhoge.com.
