Richard Alan Davy

Richard Alan Davy, born on June 15, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away on November 29, 2025, at the age of 73. At the age of 7, he moved with his family to Overland Park, Kansas. Richard graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School in 1971. In 1972, he joined the Air Force and served most of his time in the Strategic Air Command as a computer repair technician. Richard married Diane Lea Fiene of Lincoln, NE in 2009. Diana passed away after nearly 10 wonderful years of marriage. After his service in the Air Force, Richard worked for Burns and McDonnell where he retired after 14 years.

Richard was an amazing man, father, and grandfather. His woodworking skills were exceptional, and his knowledge seemed to be endless. Richard was a kind, compassionate, loyal, and generous person. We were all blessed to be a part of his life. He will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Alexandria Allen and son-in-law Joseph Allen; his grandchildren, Jacson Cools, Derrick Paul, Milo Allen, and Arya Allen; his sister, Kim Gerhardt and brother-in-law Don Gerhardt and nephew, Andrew Gerhardt; and his dear pets, Harley and Sassy; along with many other dear family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at McGilley & Hoge Johnson County Memorial Chapel, located at 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS, 66204, United States. The service is scheduled for December 8, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
