

Robert “Taco” Paul Bridges, 63, of Overland Park, KS passed away on July 5th, 2017. Visitation will be Saturday, July 15th, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.; with graveside services held at Floral Hills Cemetery on July 29th at 11:00 a.m. Memorial Contributions can be made to help with the family expenses for services.
Robert was born on July 30th, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri. He later married the love of his life, Karen Bridges, who blessed them with 2 Children.
Robert was a graduate of both Shawnee Mission West High School and Kansas University. After college, he went onto begin his career as a cameraman with KCTV5, which he would later retire after his 30th year in late 2008. Robert was also a very talented pool player. This was illustrated from his numerous trophies and achievements, to his “I have never played this game before” playful attitude. After retiring, Robert opened Double T’s Roadhouse, fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning a place where friends and family could come together and share memories. Family and friends were always at the core of Robert’s heart. He had never met a stranger that did not later become a lifelong friend. He shared his passion for fast cars and slow tables with everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by parents Paul and Catherine Bridges; a brother, Steven Bridges; wife, Karen Bridges; and son, Chris Bridges. Survivors include his daughter, Kelsey Bridges, and daughter in-law, Mallory Bridges. Along with an abundance of friends and family that will assure his memory lives on. The memories he leaves behind will assure that he will never be forgotten.
