Robert R. Rosen

Robert (Bob) R. Rosen, 84, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away January 20, 2011 at Delmar Gardens, Overland Park, Kansas. Bob was born April 6, 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri to Israel Joseph and Emily Galbrath (Myers) Rosen. Bob was a Navy Veteran of WWII and was a 32nd Mason with the Lenexa Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Blue Valley Christian Church. He enjoyed photography and competitive shooting with firearms. Bob is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Kitchen, his brother, John Rosen, and his son, Douglas Rosen. Bob is survived by his wife Carlene, of the home, his daughter, Lori Cello (Greg) of Blue Springs, Missouri, his granddaughter, Ashley Kastler (Alan) and great- grandson Aiden of Blue Springs, Missouri, two stepsons, Mark Yowell (Gloria) of St. Louis, Missouri, and Gregg Yowell (Cindy) of Overland Park, Kansas, two stepdaughters, Amy Yowell of Brooklyn, New York, and Carrie Yowell of Kimberling City, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 at Blue Valley Christian Church, 12251 Lamar Ave, Overland Park, Kansas. A visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2011 at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kansas, with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas.
