

Robert "Bob" L. Yoksh, age 87, of Lenexa, KS, passed away on March 19, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 13615 W. 92nd St., Lenexa, KS 66215. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m., on Monday, March 21, 2011, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Sisters, Servants of Mary, 800 N. 18th St., Kansas City, KS 66102.
Bob was born in Kansas City, KS, on March 18, 1924. He went to St. Benedict's Grade School and Ward High School. After his father's death, the family moved to Omaha, where Bob completed his senior year and graduated from Creighton Prep. Bob was a proud Army Veteran of World War II. He worked for Swift Meat Packing before his longtime career in the railroad industry, beginning with the Union Pacific and later the Missouri Pacific railroad. He went to work for the Santa Fe RR in 1950, became an Engineer and retired in 1985.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Agnes (Donovan), brothers, Jack and Richard, and sister, Madge Love. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Rita (Ronan) Yoksh, and sons Larry & wife, Barbara and Bob & wife, Rosella. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Brian, Kevin, Bridget Parkinson, Patrick and Kyle, and nine great-grandchildren.
