Thomas R. Wilson, age 81, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on December 3, 2021. Celebration of Life Service will be 2 PM on Saturday, December 18th at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be from 1-2PM at the chapel Saturday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Thomas was born on May 25, 1940 in Dallas, Texas. He was an Eagle Scout. He played in his own band in college. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and joined the Marines shortly after. Thomas spent a thirteen month tour in Vietnam, four years of active service, twenty five years in the Reserves and thirty three years as a pilot for TWA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Robbie Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy; his son, Brett; his daughter, Carrie; his grandchildren, Sophie and Nate; his brother, Richard; and his sister, Carol.
