Warren Edward Whiteside, 69, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Visitation will be from 5-9 pm on Monday, October 10th at the McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS. Visitation will also be from 5-9 pm on Wednesday, October 12th at the Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois Street, Fairview Heights, IL 62208. Funeral services will be 12 noon on Thursday, October 13th at the Lake View Funeral Home with burial following in the Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL. Warren was born on September 1, 1947 in St. Louis, MO. He worked in the restaurant industry, ending his career at The Olive Garden. He loved family, football, Christmas, giving hugs, playing flashlight tag and chocolate. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, James and Faye (nee Dixon) Whiteside. Survivors include his wife, Ellen (nee Gisher) Whiteside; son, Heath Whiteside (Cheryl); daughters, Heather Whiteside and Kim Woodruff; brother, Wayne Whiteside (Linda); and grandchildren, Lily and Mason.
