Ann was the third of five children of Rev. and Mrs. Andrew Boda, a Slovak pastor and mother. She went to school in Lorain, Ohio and graduated valedictorian in her class. She then received a B.A. from Valparaiso University, Indiana and Masters at Morgan State University, Baltimore, MD. She received degrees in math, English, and music and an advanced degree in music.
After college she taught at St John ’s College in Winfield, Kansas where she met her husband, Rev. Dr. Roy Maack. They married in 1955. They had 4 children: Rev. Dr. David Maack, Dr. Richard Maack, Mrs. Debra Schuetzler, and Dr. Donna Dooley. Ann and Roy have 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Ann was an accomplished pianist, organist, and cellist. She directed many choirs in churches and taught music in several schools throughout Baltimore city.
Ann was an incredible wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all. And we know she is in our Savior’s loving arms in heaven, singing and probably directing one of the choirs in heaven.
