Anthony Joseph Oliveri, 82, of Oviedo, FL, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Born in Albany, NY, on November 19, 1942, Anthony lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and deep love for his family and country.
On May 24, 1975, he married the love of his life, Carolynn Elaine Oliveri, with whom he shared nearly 50 years of devotion. A visionary entrepreneur, Anthony began his career in the restaurant industry, with his father Daniel Oliveri Sr., and his brother Dominick Oliveri, with Dan’s Sub Shop in Fort Lauderdale, FL, in the 1960s. His success led to the expansion of Dan’s Family Restaurants throughout Central Florida and the founding of the well-loved Patio Grill in Longwood and Magic City Diner in Winter Park. He later transitioned into the staffing industry, establishing Staffing America, which flourished with multiple offices in the Atlanta, GA, area.
Anthony was a proud member of the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division, serving his country with honor. His patriotism remained a guiding force throughout his life. He found joy in woodworking, trips to the gun range, and, above all, spending cherished time with his family. His greatest pride was doting on his beloved wife, Carolynn.
Anthony is survived by his devoted wife, Carolynn Oliveri; his children, Anthony Oliveri Jr., Jeffrey Oliveri, Dominique Delaney, Jason Oliveri, Michelle Mercado, and Megan Toukatly; his sister, Elizabeth Ducos; 13 adoring grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Oliveri; his parents, Hazel Swain and Daniel Oliveri Sr.; his stepmother, Loretta Oliveri; his brothers, Dominick Oliveri, Daniel Oliveri Jr., and Larry Hayes; and his sister, Joan Haberman.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 15th at 1:00 PM in Oviedo, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Tunnel to Towers Foundation in his honor.
Anthony’s warmth, wisdom, sense of humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
