Carolan Jeanette Mailman

She was 84. Born to Edward and Almeda Lowe in Portland, ME, Carolan graduated from the Maine Medical Center Nursing Program and was a practicing RN in Maine & Florida. She met her high school sweetheart Richard "Dick" Mailman at their school's Thanksgiving "Turkey Trot" dance and married on June 8, 1963. They were married for 59 years and a couple for 66 years.

Active in her home church, Community Methodist in Casselberry, over many years, she served as youth ministry leader with her husband Dick, sang in the choir and lead the visitor/new member program. Later, she also served as the church secretary for the Aloma United Methodist Church in Winter Park.

Carolan was preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Lowe and her husband Richard "Dick" Mailman. She is survived by her son, Michael(Oksana, sp), daughters Kimberley(Gerald, sp) and Nova(Kristofer, sp) as well as grand-daughters Diana, Abigail, Tiernan and Braealyn and close cousin Shirley(Leonard, sp). The celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, March 9th, at 2:30pm at Community Methodist Church in Casselberry preceded by a viewing at 2:00pm and reception following.
