

David S. Andrzejewski, 86, of Oviedo, Florida, formerly of Elburn, Illinois passed away on June 29, 2021. He was born in Jamestown, New York on March 27, 1935 to the late Stephen and Dorothy Andrzejewski. Dave met his late wife, Joan (Davis) Andrzejewski, while they were both students at Jamestown High School, and the sweethearts married on June 25, 1955. Dave proudly served his country in the U.S. National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1959. In 1963, the couple relocated to Batavia, Illinois, where they raised their five children, Karen, Kevin, Stephen, Richard, and Susie. Dave was in regional sales for All Steel and worked out of the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. He made the “Mart” his office base and worked for several companies the following 17 years. Dave eventually worked in design and sales for Westinghouse Computer Flooring and counted The Chicago Board of Trade, Sony and IBM as his biggest clients before his retirement. Dave was a life member of The Knights of Columbus and had a passion for hunting, fishing, classic cars, vintage airplanes, World War history, gourmet cooking and of course the Chicago Cubs and Bears. After the death of his beloved Joanie in 2019, Dave moved to Florida to live with his daughter, Karen to enjoy the warm winter months.
Dave leaves behind his children: Karen Brownell, Kevin Andrzejewski, Stephen Andrzejewski (Kim Aberle), Richard Andrzejewski and Susie Andrzejewski. Dave’s greatest joy were his grandchildren: Briar, Josh and (Morgan), Justin and (Jennifer), Jarek, Jessica, Jacquelyn, Julia, Justine, Joey and Leonie; his adored great-grandchildren Mason and Kyleigh and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, Dave was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Moldovan and husband Michael as well as his son-in-law, John Brownell. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 501 E. Mitchell Hammock Rd., Oviedo, FL are in care of arrangements.
