Greg would summarize himself as a “Simple Man,” but he was anything but. He loved his children & family, sports, music, space, motorcycles, and gun collecting. Whatever captured his attention received his full resolute and focus.
Greg tenaciously cheered for the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians. As a teenager, he proudly played catcher, often trying to emulate his hero, Johnny Bench.
Music was another lifelong passion. Greg played drums and participated as a teen in the outdoor drama Trumpet in the Land in Tuscarawas, where he portrayed one of the Christian Indians in the performances. Later in Florida, he continued sharing his love of music by playing drums at his church for 15 years and performing local gigs with friends.
Space was one of Greg’s greatest loves. As a child, he dreamed of one day working at the Kennedy Space Center. After leaving the Air Force, he accepted a job in California, but before even beginning, a friend from Florida called to tell him about an opening there. Greg immediately quit the California job, packed up his car, and moved to Florida hoping his passion for space and calibration would help him land a position with Martin Marietta. He spent several years there, but his ultimate dream was always working at Kennedy Space Center. He eventually achieved that dream and dedicated more than 20 years of his life at The Boeing Company at KSC. In 2025, Greg received the prestigious Silver Snoopy Award for Space Flight Awareness, an honor that made him incredibly proud.
Greg also enjoyed spending time with his brothers on motorcycle trips and adventures together.
Greg will be remembered for his kindness, humor, talent, and deep love for God, family, and friends, along with the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.
