My heart aches for Lee’s precious family, especially his dear mother!  Lee is walking those streets of gold now and is happy beyond words.  Knowing this will lighten the pain of missing him and just make us look forward to that great Heavenly reunion someday.  I love the wonderful Yates family!  Prayers!

Lee was a great man. He was funny, caring and one of the nicest people you could meet. I am so glad I ran into him not to long ago at the store and chatted with him. I wish him peace as he looks down on his family and friends knowing he was loved by many and will be missed by everyone who got the pleasure to know him. 

Lee had a heart of gold and would help anyone that needed his help. When Kayla and Michael Wiggins got married. He catered all the food for them on there wedding day. Lee and Melissa cooked all night long. Lee go rest high on that mountain. We will meet again one day.

Your love and kindness touch a lot of people. You have left a great legacy and memories. Until we meet again.

So sorry I’ve known lee for 32 years worked with him at KSC he was so awesome to have conversations with prayers to all the family 🙏🏻🙏🏻

He was a great man! He had a big heart and was always willing to help all the children in 4-H. When my kids were starting out in 4-H, he took the time to help them with their chickens. He will always be remembered by his kindness!

Always a smile. He was a very nice man and a great hugger!

Melissa, as we were getting ready to head home after our last family gathering at the fort, Lee came to our car and handed me one of the little bathtubs that had a succulent plant in it that were used as table decorations. He proceeded to tell me how he helped to plant all of those. I knew right then that if this big brute of a guy took pleasure in planting that he was a gentle soul. 


Lee was such a great man  !  He loved is family and will be missed by all that knew him !
                 

Melissa ,remember years ago when we were fishing on the river? As I was standing there watching the water I thought to myself I hope that heaven looks like this. Today I saw that again out of the blue and I could see lee ,your parents and mine on that riverbank fishing  talking and laughing just them only.I know where they are and that does give me comfort through my tears as I write this. I know you have read this so many times but I love all of you with all my heart.God Bless You and comfort all of you.


May the Lord bless and keep you and your family safe and at peace during this difficult time. We all know how much he was respected and loved and always will be. Dear Melissa and family we are so sorry for your loss. Lee was such a wonderful teddy bear of a man, his kindness and compassion and love of his family and friends was so evident. Kayleigh and I looked forward to fair just too see you guys and start our show week out with a huge hug from you both. We felt like we had a special connection to you and your wonderful family  through the kid's competitions and working with you in the poultry barn. I remember how Lee and I had a "discussion" about securing our Dovie in a cage and he went to the trouble of creating a safe cage system for him every year!
