Michael was born on October 15, 1945, in Ashtabula, Ohio. He graduated from Ashtabula High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
On November 11, 1972, Michael married the love of his life, Linda. Together they shared 53 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, family, and devotion.
Michael had a long and successful career in telecommunications, working for both AT&T and Verizon. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication throughout his professional life.
In his free time, Michael enjoyed playing golf, spending time at the beach, and, most of all, being with his family.
Michael is survived by his children, Casey Broadaway (Troy) and Kelly Gee; his grandchildren, Ava Broadaway and Kai Broadaway; and his brothers, Joe Golembiowski and John Golembiowski.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanne Valentik, and his brother, Larry Golembiowski.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to AdventHealth Inpatient Hospice or to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
A funeral service with military honors will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, located on U.S. Rte 1, Mims, FL 32754, United States. The service is scheduled for May 8, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
