

He was predeceased by his parents, Albert Sidney Ham and Olive Jane Aulsbury Ham, his two sisters, Louise Ham Hanna and Mary Olive Ham Lucy, and his ex-wife, Irene Pauline Bisson Ham, who was the mother of his four children.
He is survived by his children, Marti Anne Ham Fuller of Germantown, Tennessee, Michael Anthony (and Michele) Ham of Monterey, California, Marie Annette Ham (and Kirk) Boyd of Phoenix, Arizona, and Pamela Louise Ham (and Corey) Butler of Carmel, California, as well as eight (8) grandchildren (Olivia Fuller, Madison and Mason Ham, Travis and Chase Boyd, and Rex, Blake, and Piper Butler). He is also survived by Barbara Kinney, with whom, in his later years, he shared a wonderful life.
Born in San Antonio, Texas on February 20, 1930, at the age of five (5), he moved to Sacramento, California. He attended California State University at Sacramento and graduated with an undergraduate degree from University of California at Berkeley. He went on to receive his law degree from UC Berkeley Boalt School of Law in 1954. He learned that he had passed the Bar Exam while stationed in Germany as an Army draftee. Upon an honorable discharge, he returned to California and eventually settled on the Monterey Peninsula where he practiced law until 2005.
In his retirement, he traveled the world and delighted in spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be remembered and celebrated as someone who loved his family beyond measure, never met a stranger and showed kindness to all.
Arrangements have been handled by The Paul Mortuary. Family and friends are invited to a funeral service on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at noon at the Santa Catalina Chapel, 1500 Mark Thomas Drive in Monterey. A reception will immediately follow on the campus.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory to Santa Catalina School, Monterey, California.
