

Carmen always found great comfort in her Catholic faith and was a devout member of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Seaside, CA. She enjoyed dancing to her Spanish music and watching her favorite Telenovelas. She was known for her homemade Mexican food and her beautiful flower gardens.
Carmen was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Calderon Torres; her husband, Camilo Guerra; her daughter Susan Villarreal; her granddaughter, DeeAnn Corona, and her great-grandson, Nathaniel Pegis. She is survived by her children: Cristina McBride, Beatrice Corona, Carmen Guerra, Camilo, Jr., Rose Mansfield, Fernando, Edward and Eric; twenty-one grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Carmen leaves her family with knowledge that they were truly loved and they know that she loved the Lord. Special thanks to Father Michael and Dr. Jang for their special care during her last days.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held in celebration of her life next Monday, September 23 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Seaside. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Blind and Visually Impaired Center, 225 Laurel, Pacific Grove, 93950.
