Evelyn Elaine Chinn

February 26, 1930 ~ June 27, 2012

CARMEL - Evelyn E. Chinn, born February 26, 1930 in Ashue, Washington, passed away in Monterey on June 27. She has resided in California for the past 64 years. Evelyn was devoted to her family, her civic duties and her charitable activities.

Evelyn enjoyed golf and was a charter member of Rancho Canada Golf Club. She was a member and Past-President of the Monterey Civic Club and the Little Bits Chapter of Children's Home Society. She was also a member of the Monterey Methodist Church and the Rosebud Klowns Unit of AMKH Court #92 of Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America.

Evelyn is survived by her husband of 21 years, James; her children, Dan (Wendy) Tolleson and Gary (Patricia) Tolleson of Post Falls, Idaho and Catherine (John) Robinette of Prunedale; her brother, Lawrence Branscomb of Yakima, Washington; her step-daughter, Jo Ann (Jim) Chinn of Pebble Beach; her grandchildren, Stephen Zeller, Kelly Dada, Austin Graham and Tamra Panek and her great-grandchildren, Lucas and Cade. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Elaine Branscomb, and her brother, Benjamin Branscomb.

A Celebration of Evelyn's Life will take place at the Monterey Methodist Church on Friday, July 20 at 11:00 AM.
