December 14, 1949 to January 23, 2019
Originally from Simi Valley, California and resided in Pacific Grove, California for the past 43 years.
Survived by his two daughters, Amber Novelli of Newport, Oregon and Jaime Walton of Scottsdale, Arizona; his stepmother, Anne Walton; sister, Vicki Schweitzer; stepbrother, Michael, nephews and nieces. James has four grandchildren, Dj, Joey, Emily and Frankie Ella. He also has two great-granddaughters, Maddison and Jaci.
He follows his father, Robert, mother, Rosetta, brother, Jerry, sister, Ginger and granddaughter, Jessica. He will be greeted by the loves of his life, Tucker and Kelly (his Springer Spaniels).
Jim was a softball coach when he wasn't operating a giant tractor for the company Granite Rock, where he was a Heavy Equipment Operator for many years and retired from.
He loved his dogs, music, hockey and his two girls. Yes, this is the correct order to which we often teased him about.
His neighbors, which became his family, and dog-walking friends throughout the beach and forest meant the world to him.
He was a man of routine and unfortunately this included cigarettes. He passed from COPD and other complications. We share this to help save someone you may know who is addicted to smoking/vaping.
