

Janet Louise Collier was born December 11,1940 in Bakersfield, Ca. Jan was a cheerleader at Bakersfield high while working up the street at Bakersfield's historic Dewars Ice Cream and Candy Shop. She graduated in 1958 and continue her education and cheerleading endeavors at Bakersfield College. While in high school Jan also met her eventual husband Rodney Marc Collier. As Jan and Rodney matured they moved along the state of California settling in places like San Jose, Pacific Grove, Fresno, and eventually back to Pebble Beach. Despite this constant relocation Jan still excelled as a very successful real estate agent with a career lasting over 25 years. In her later years Jan found entertainment through spending time with family, solving puzzles, playing bunco, and could always be found at the neighborhood bridge game with her girlfriends. Janet is preceded in death by her husband Rodney Marc Collier of 56 years. She is survived by her two sons, Matthew and Steven Collier; two grandchildren, Marc and Taylor Collier; sister, Kay Short; brother, Richard Wood and wife Cindy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Services in Pacific Grove, CA will be held Monday, December 14th at the Paul Mortuary, 390 Lighthouse Ave. 93950 at 11am. Reception to follow after both services.
Memorial services in Bakersfield will be held on Thursday, December 17th at St. Francis De Assisi Church; 900 H St. at 9am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
