A very kind and gentle man passed on May 20, 2025.
Several years ago, while enjoying a glass of wine sitting in our beautiful back yard, we reflected on what we would like when we died.Jim’s wishes were to pass on in his home which he dearly loved, and he did.He wanted a “short” obituary “…no need to say who I am, my friends and family already know me.” And, he didn’t want a “gathering”, only that his friends and family to be together as his ashes are “returned to the earth”.
Jim is survived by his wife “…my life partner”, Nancy, his 5 adult children, Gary, David, Michael (Akiko), Lauren (Brandon) and Shayne, his adult stepchildren, Renee and Mattias (Maddy), and his four grandchildren, Brett, Brody, Azalea and Sequoia. He loved you all deeply!
I want to thank his amazing healthcare team, Dr. Gorman, Dr. Morrow, the wonderful Hospice group, devoted caregiver Marisol and so many others.
And, to all his friends who enriched his life, as he said, “…you know who you are”, I can’t even begin to say how deeply and powerfully your friendship meant to Jim.
I will reach out to those who want to be part of releasing his ashes in a few months.
So, I believe he would be laughing at me right now saying, “thank you for keeping this short”.
To a truly gentle, kind giant, thank you for being just who you were to each and everyone who shared your life journey. We have loved you ever so much!!! May your next journey be as wonderful as this one was.”
I love you Jim.
