Avis de décès de Jose Chow
AUX SOINS DE

The Paul Mortuary

Jose Chow is the oldest child of four siblings who grew up in China. During the War of Liberation in mainland China, the Communist Party occupied their village and the Chow family immigrated to Hong Kong.

At age of 21, Jose followed his grandpa to Mexico leaving his siblings in Hong Kong, where he began his career as a chef in a Chinese Restaurant. In 70’s Jose took his cooking talents to Seaside, where he worked as a chef in ChopStick. Jose was known as that Chinese guy who spoke Spanish fluently. Through his talent of speaking Spanish, he built long-lasting relationships with the Spanish Community.

On July 27,1976, Jose married his wife May. A few years later they had their son Ronnie. Jose and May set their roots in Marina, where they work at a Chinese Restaurant for over 30 years. Jose was the head chef and his specialty dishes include mandarin chicken, roast duck and beef brisket to name a few.

In 2013, Jose retired from the restaurant business. He was attentive person where he surprises his loved one’s with their favorite foods or catching that special deal at Macys or Ross. He was the only person who was able to purchase a Circulon wok for $10 with a retail value of $89!

He was a loving son, brother, husband, and father. He always fills the room with laughter and is good in breaking the silence in the room. He is a good son and brother to his parents and siblings. He always buys and/or makes good food for this family. He is a very loving and caring husband that always makes sure that his wife is happy and smiling. He is a great father that makes sure his son is taken care of.

Jose was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife May, his son, Ronnie, his sisters Jeannie, Tammy, Phoebe, and his brother Steve.
