Lyndall Anne Demere, age 75, of Carmel, California passed away on March 25, 2023, from cancer. She was born in Washington D.C. on December 20, 1947, to Loraine Simms Dingee and George M. Dingee, and grew up in Arlington, Virginia.
Lyndall was an avid scholar and teacher throughout her life. She earned undergraduate degrees and a Ph.D. in psychology at Temple University, where she realized the power of working with individuals, as well as in a group setting. She furthered her training at the The Family Therapy Institute in Rockville, MD, Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA, The Center for Grandfather Coyote in NY, NJ, and CA, and the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY. She earned master’s and doctoral degrees in metaphysics, and became a board certified pastoral counselor from the University of Metaphysics in Sedona, AZ.
Lyndall was devoted to the practice of truth, spiritual principles and selfless service to others. She loved people who love God, no matter the denomination. She worked as a spiritual director, pastoral counselor, psychic, and meditation leader in Carmel, CA since 1987, and founded the International Association of Metaphysicians. She led the Angel Circle in Carmel, for many years, and a meditation group that has met weekly since 1993. She was committed to a variety of theologies, always seeking mystical understanding and experience, and offering this to others. She honored and exemplified generosity and kindness. She freely shared her gifts and time as a hospice volunteer, a long standing member of the Bereavement Ministry at the Carmel Mission, and as a registered Harry Edwards healer.
Lyndall believed that prayer is one of the best gifts that we can receive. There is no cost, just rewards. One of her channeled meditations focused on the joyful, sparkling hearts that are in each of us. Lyndall shared her sparkle with everyone in her life. Her infectious smile, beautiful surroundings, sparkling champagne toasts, and fierce friendship attracted a large circle of friends. Whether shopping for treasures, or on her deck in Big Sur playing classical music for the appreciation of the condors soaring overhead, teaching at the Harry Edwards Healing Sanctuary in the United Kingdom, or writing a book on the love of Mary Magdalene, she was 100% present in whatever she was doing and whoever she was with. She was the treasure and the sparkle.
She is survived by her son, Ben Saputelli, of Big Sur; her daughter, Lauren Saputelli, of Santa Cruz; her sisters, Dale Westberry, of Lakeland, Florida and Renee Miles, of Mathews, Virginia. She is preceded by her brother, John Fridell. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Carmel Mission at 10 a.m. on May 19th, followed by a Celebration of Life at 4068 Rio Road. Please RSVP to [email protected].
