Tanya Michelle Hobbs

Tanya Hobbs passed away after a long battle with cancer. Tanya was born in Monterey and spent her youth in Marina. She obtained her GED in 1989 and continued her education at Central Coast College where she graduated with outstanding scores.

Tanya had short residency in Germany, Kentucky and Texas before returning to Marina joining the majority of her family. Once back in California, Tanya worked as a Communications Operator for various local companies before ultimately deciding to be a homemaker. Tanya enjoyed numerous types of arts and crafts, especially scrapbooking. She enjoying sharing her crafts with friends and family members, often making them scrapbooks for special occasions.

Tanya is survived by her parents, Joseph and Darla Messner; three aunts, Linda, Karen and Jeane and her two nieces, Marisa and Samantha. Tanya was an intelligent, kind woman who will be dearly missed by those who knew her.

In following Tanya’s final wishes, there will not be a funeral service. Her final resting place will be at the City of Monterey, Cementerio El Encinal close to predeceased family members.
