

Born on August 8, 1952, in Canada, Ellen was a resident of New York, New York. Ellen was the cherished daughter of the late Jack Arnold Lupovich and Sybil Lupovich (nee Freedman).
She is survived by her devoted husband, Gregory Maddock, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage, and her beloved daughter, Christine Emerson Maddock. She is also survived by her brother, Barry Lupovich.
Ellen's early life was marked by academic excellence. She attended Northwestern University at the young age of 16 and later obtained a Master's in Business from the University of Chicago. Her career began in corporate banking in Chicago, after which she moved to New York with her fiancé, Gregory. Ellen transitioned to the healthcare sector, where she made significant contributions as a hospital administrator, healthcare management consultant, and hospital bond underwriter.
Ellen and Gregory were married at Grace Church New York on January 1, 1975. Together, they celebrated their 50th anniversary by traveling around the world. Ellen often referred to her daughter, Christine, as her 30th birthday present, highlighting the joy and love she brought into Ellen's life.
In her personal time, Ellen was passionate about singing, needlepoint, and playing Mahjong. She had a voracious love for reading and travel and was known for her sophisticated palate for food and wine.
Ellen was a beloved, compassionate, generous, inspirational, kind-hearted, resilient, loyal, thoughtful, wise individual, and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who were touched by her larger-than-life personality. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ellen's memory to a charity of your choice.
