

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Howard Woolf, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin. Howard passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, at the age of 78, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 24, 1947, in Brooklyn, NY, Howard lived a full and meaningful life as the son of William and Sylvia Woolf.
Known for his deep heart, thoughtfulness, and dedication to family, Howard touched the lives of many. He had a profound love for music, technology, and politics, but above all, he cherished his time with his family, especially his wife, Karen, and daughter, Samantha. He was known for his unwavering support and love for those closest to him.
Howard and Karen’s time in Florida was filled with joy and a vibrant community of friends—many from childhood, work, and later-in-life connections. Their homes were always places for gatherings, events, and celebrations, reflecting Howard’s love for connection and camaraderie.
Howard is survived by his wife of 53 years Karen; daughter Samantha Tiran and her husband Ravid, and their children Maya and Ryan; niece Susie (who is the daughter of his late brother Richard) and her husband Tommy, and their children TJ, Violeta, Kaitlyn, and Kelsey; sister-in-law Jill Ben-Porat and her late husband Avi Ben-Porat; their children David and his partner Julie, and Elana and her husband Pete, and their daughters Ava and Sophie.
A funeral service will be held at Riverside Memorial Chapel in Hawthorne, NY, on March 12, 2025, at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Anti-Defamation League in Howard’s honor.
