She is survived by her son, Abe Tawil; her grandsons, Bryce (Nathalie) Elia, Seth Hassett, and Evan Hassett; her daughter-in-law, Susan Colvin; her brother, Lucien Elia; extended family member Jodi Cubelli; and her beloved best friends, Char and Eunice.
Jacqueline will be remembered as a gifted storyteller who carried a lifetime of memories and shared them generously with those she loved. Shortly before her passing, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by publishing a book about her colorful and remarkable life, a reflection of her resilience, humor, and enduring spirit.
She had a deep love for travel and embraced every opportunity to explore new places and cultures. She found great joy in cooking and especially in hosting dinner parties, where family and friends gathered around her table. Her home was warm and welcoming, filled with conversation, laughter, and love.
Above all, Jacqueline was a devoted mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. Her love was steady and unconditional, and her presence brought comfort and strength to those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Her great-grandson is due to be born any day. Though she did not have the chance to meet him, he will grow up hearing the stories of his remarkable great-grandmother, who was going to be lovingly called “JaJa.”
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Temple Judea located at 4311 Hood Rd, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410.
