As a man who strived to more than just provide for his family, Joe rose from being a dental laboratory technician to a laboratory owner. It was his joy and pleasure to have his family and friends beside him through his life. Whether it was piloting a plane, piloting a boat, or being a mentor, Joe approached life with gusto and humor.
Exploring the world Joe traveled extensively with his wife Betty. He was not by any means an introverted man, making friends everywhere he went. Those who knew him well would say Joe never knew a stranger.
As to his character, his grandson, Weston shared some of his advice: “Never lose sight of who you are and what you believe in…Don’t ever change.” Both his grandchildren agree that these few words show Joe’s deep understanding of how our lives change us. But if we remain true to our own self we will have lived fully and been the best version of ourselves. Joe’s unwavering faith in others gave us faith in each of us individually.
We love you Joe, Dad, Grandpa…You will forever be in our hearts.
