Leonard Gilman, Lake Worth, –passed away on Monday March 1, 2021 at the age of 91. Leonard was a Florida resident since 1972. He radiated a delight in living that inspired all around him. It was easy to see how much he loved being with other people, especially family.
He is predeceased by his wife, Dolores Gilman of 53 years; and his two daughters Susan Safronov and Cynthia Gilman. He is survived by his daughter Julie G. Devore; grandchildren Kelly and Daniel Landwer; and Joshua G. Devore; great-grandchildren Alexander and Lily Alfonso; sons-in-laws Mark Devore and Rustem Safronov; companion Lynn Klinger;
and his sister June Solomon of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and countless friends he considered to be his family.
Formerly of Newton, MA, and Nashua, NH. BA degree University of Rhode Island. Former home manufacturing entrepreneur. Founder and CEO Gilbilt Lumber Co., Burlington, MA. Founder and President of Continental Homes of New England.
Leonard enjoyed reading, traveling, watching sports, burning music cd’s, and being with his family. In 2020 Leonard published a book,” Len’s Road Taken.”
Funeral will be held at Star of David funeral chapel in Palm Beach Gardens on Friday March 5, 2021.
