Loretta M Casey

Loretta M. Casey born on June 2, 1935 has taken her final journey to be with the love of her life, Joseph L. Casey who passed on September 12, 2020. Loretta was born in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Connecticut. After retiring from the Glastonbury Police Department in 1992 she promptly heard the calling and moved to Florida! Loretta loved her job as a secretary for the detective division. She made lots of friends and spoke highly about all those she worked maintaining her friendship for years with those that were still around.

Loretta was an avid casino enthusiast that loved slot machines. Joe and Loretta loved spending time going on cruises and local casinos with their friends. She always told us how important her social circle was to both of them including shows, plays, travel and local dining. Their circle of friends was a passion for both of them.

Loretta was a 2 time survivor of breast cancer. Joe was by her side doing anything and everything he could to help her through her battle. They both valiantly fought and won both times! Loretta had a rare disease that had made her eye site a large challenge for the past 10 years.

Loretta was a daughter, mother, a grandmother and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her loving parents Mildred and Jack Prizant. She leaves behind her children David and Terri Bornstein, Allen and Xuna Bornstein, Debbie and Carl Nicolosi, and Gail and Richard Terri. Grand children include James (aka Jamie) & Erin, Aimee & John, Eric & Kylie, Kimberlee & Yvan, Kurt & Tiffany, Jacqueline, Michael, Anthony, Carly, Julia, Kamron; Great grandchildren include Milana, Emilee, Audrey, Lilly, Sawyer, Charlee, Noah, Asher, Annabelle, Abigail.
