Marilyn J Shartsis

SHARTSIS, Marilyn Jean (nee Wyskocil) passed away on December 9th, 2013. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Jacob, daughters Jacqueline Fein and Sandra Roberts, son-in-law Steven Fein, and grandchildren Jordan Fein, Brandon Roberts, Zachary Fein and his wife Drew, and Simone Roberts. Marilyn grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, where she met her husband Jack. When Jack left the Navy, they settled in Pensacola, Florida. They were members of B’nai Israel Synagogue for over forty years. Twenty years ago, they retired and moved to West Palm Beach, Florida and began a new chapter in their lives. Marilyn enjoyed a healthy, active lifestyle, and was a member of Ultima Fitness in Wellington, Florida for many years. She had a group of friends there that truly enriched her life with their companionship, love and support. They brought her great happiness, and she considered them to be her extended family. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 11th at 2:30 pm at IJ Morris at Star of David of the Palm Beaches, 9321 Memorial Park Road in West Palm Beach, Florida. The family will observe Shiva on the evening of December 11th at the home of Jacob Shartsis. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be missed forever.
