
Pat Lerner Seinfeld, 90, formerly of Allentown, died on December 21, 2011 in Jupiter, FL. She was a well known face in the Allentown community for decades. She graduated Ohio State University, andreturned to earn her Masters in Counseling and Psychology at Kutztown University at the age of 65. She was the widow of Dr. Lee Seinfeld and she resided in FL. She was the former wife of Dr. J. Arnold Kauffman, who died in 1997. Pat wore many hats but was best known for her role as writer, producer, director and actor in dozens of plays at the Jewish Community Center. Her father George Lerner was integral in raising the funds to build the JCC in 1958, and he served as its first president. His daughter Pat continued the legacy and served as their first woman president from 1988 - 1990. An exuberant fashion consultant, Pat worked at H. Leh and Company, arranging and commentating fashion shows for womens organizations such as the Kiwanis Club, the Allentown Hospital, the Junior League, the Red Cross, Temple Beth El and dozens of other groups throughout PA. She conducted charm school for young teens, and wrote and performed her own monologues for 20 years. She also served for seven years as a convention director for Group Travel Associates, a travel company. Pat served on the boards of the Civic Little Theater, the Sisterhood of Temple Beth El, the Womens Auxiliary of the JCC, the United Fund, and she was honored for her service contributions, receiving the Lena Senderowitz Service Award. Survivors: A dedicated worker, a fabulous mom, aunt, sister and friend, Pat is survived by her brothers Mike and Leslie Lerner; her sons Ron and Bruce Kauffman; and her daughter, Kathy Levine. She has four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Her enthusiastic love of life, her extraordinary talents and her beautiful smile enriched all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed. Services: Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 27, 11:30 a.m. at the Bachman Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home at 17th & Hamilton Streets, Allentown, PA.
