Rosalie Fox

Rosalie Shifman Fox 83, Palm Beach Gardens passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, December 18th at her son’s home Richard Fox of Parkland. Rosalie is survived by her 3 loving sons Larry, Bruce and Richard and their wives and her much loved daughters Martha and Kim, and her cherished grandchildren Faith, Adam, Isaac, Laney and Connor as well as her former significant other Herb Steinberg of Fort Lauderdale. She is also survived by her brother Allen Shifman and sister-in-law Danielle Shifman and nephew Alex Shifman of Franklin, Michigan.

Rosalie was born March 14, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to her loving and supportive parents Shimon and Ann Shifman with whom she always maintained a very close relationship and bond their entire lives. She attended Mumford High School and Wayne State University graduating with a Bachelor’s of Arts in primary and secondary education specializing in math and English. She worked as a Hebrew School teacher in her spare time and is still remembered and loved by her students to this day. She went on to marry her now ex-husband Allan Fox and they raised 4 sons Ian, Larry, Bruce and Richard. Many will also remember her career as a successful realtor when she became licensed in 1989.

Rosalie is most remembered as a loving and generous mother and grandmother. She always maintained a happy exuberance in even her most stressful times. She was an exceptionally loyal friend and had many friendships that stretched over a lifetime. She enjoyed playing Canasta and Maj Jong with “the girls” and frequently going to lunch with her grandson Isaac. Her most treasured moments though are the mountainous moments she spent with her 3 son’s , 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren. Many a Sunday dinner, family vacations in Captiva, Rosh Hashanas ,Yom Kippurs, Thanksgivings and Hanukahs were spent always together and never apart. The very special yearly trips to Vegas with her son’s Larry, Bruce and Richard and grandson’s Adam and Isaac are among her most treasured memories. Rosalie was very loved and will be extremely missed and will hold a cherished place in our hearts forever.

Services will be held on Tuesday, December 20th 11 am at the IJ Morris Star of David Funeral Home located at: 9321 Memorial Park Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33412. Shiva will immediately follow at Rosalie’s home. 13724 Sand Crane Drive, Palm Beach Gardens located in the Eastpointe community.
