Born on December 19, 1937, in the Bronx, New York, Sunny was known for her warmth, resilience, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. She married her lifelong partner, Stanley Goldberg, and together they raised their family in Waldwick, New Jersey, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and strong community ties.
Sunny was deeply involved in her community, serving proudly as past President of the Waldwick Baseball Women’s Auxiliary. In her later years, she cherished the friendships she built at Platina, where she loved to play Mahjong and share laughter with her friends.
She was the proud mother of three children: Debbie Porter, Allen Goldberg, and Scott (Salley) Goldberg. She was a devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren—Ashley (Carlos) Nunez, Danny Porter, Danielle (Brendan) Bansch, Ian Goldberg, Ben Goldberg, Matt (Jess) Goldberg, Jennifer Goldberg, Jessica Goldberg, and Colin Goldberg and a cherished great-grandmother to Amaya, Gabby, Rosalie, and Ethan.
We cannot forget Sunny’s love for animals. She always surrounded herself with loving pets.
Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by family, celebrating milestones big and small, and sharing her wisdom and love across generations. She will be remembered for her caring spirit, her sense of humor, and the way she made every person feel special and loved.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral Services will be held 12 noon, Sunday, September 28, 2025 at I.J. Morris at Star of David Cemetery of the Palm Beaches. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to the ASPCA.
Sunny’s light will continue to shine through the family she nurtured and the countless lives she touched.
