Annie Bell Tollett passed away in Houston, Texas on August 5, 2011 surround by her loving family. She was born on October 24, 1923 in Rufe, Oklahoma to the union of Doc Abbott and Cora Thompson-Abbott. Annie is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 65 years, Raymond Tollett; brother, Austin Abbott; daughter-in-law, Shirley Tollett; and great grandson, David Von Tersch. She is survived by 5 children, Mary Lou Whittaker and husband Hardford, Charles Tollett and wife Frances, Earl Tollett and wife Betty, Robert Tollett and wife Mickie, and Philip Tollett; 10 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and 1 sister, Lois Keller.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, August 7, 2011 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011 in The Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
