Beatriz Banda, born August 12, 1951 in Matehuala, San Luis Potosí, Mexico to Antero and Camila Obregon, passed away May 9, 2014 in Pasadena, Texas at the age of 62. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Manuel Banda; her 2 daughters, Maria and husband Artemio, Nora and husband Jesse; her 3 sons, Juan and wife Julie, Alfredo and wife Melissa, Adan and wife Diana; and her 8 grandchildren, Alyssa, Isaac, Jasmine, Jason, Railene, Jiel, Noel and Mia. Beatriz was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all. She is remembered by all of those she has touched (or fed!) at some point in their lives. She was truly a strong, amazing woman -- an inspiration for all. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 from 5 pm to 8 pm in the Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held at a later date and time.
