Bettinna “Tina” Medlin Chatham was born December 15, 1954 in Pasadena, Texas. Tina gained her angel wings on June 16, 2020 in Pasadena. She is survived by her mother, Walena Medlin; sister, Tammy Medlin; daughter, Denise Scarborough and husband, Brad Scarborough and granddaughter, Avery Scarborough; along with numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father Billy Jack Medlin.
Tina’s shining light was her granddaughter, Avery, whom she doted on and loved so very dearly. She and Avery made outings at every chance including trips to Oklahoma to see Avery’s namesake cow on the cousin’s farm. Avery doted on her Mimi and loved spending time with her.
Tina loved family and spent countless hours documenting and researching her ancestry. She was the “rock of Gibraltar” for all and the first to volunteer to help out with any and all.
Tina was a Lifetime member of the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo in which she supported her daughter’s involvement and activities. She participated annually in the Cookoff events with the SPS Cookers Team.
Tina attended Pasadena High School and graduated with the class of 1972. She dedicated her career to the banking and mortgage industry which led her to live in several locations and travel extensively.
Tina was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Pasadena. She was very dedicated to living her life in the Lord’s name.
Her services will be held at Grandview Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 1:00 o’clock, family will receive visitors at noon. Reverend Richardo Sinestera will be officiating and Shannon Wayman will deliver the Eulogy.
